For the following reasons for the first time in my 53 year career in hunting Canada I award 5 stars to Whitetails Grande, Inc. Darrell & Shirley Parker. Integrity, Honesty, Knowledge of the Whitetail Deer. The formulation of a deer food pellet and mineral that has and continues to provide enhanced winter survival of bucks, nutrition, body mass and antler growth beyond the average whitetail deer. Quality of hunt, extremely knowledgeable guides, first rate guides with total knowledge of the areas they guide. Housing accommodations and home cooked meals that rival the best meals cooked by Mama. Whitetails Grande, Inc. provides several hunts, one in the South Camp, in the area of St. Walburg, Saskatchewan. The second, The Canoe Lake area of Northwest, Saskatchewan and last but not Least, The Canoe Lake First Nations Land.

Though there are never any guarantees in Whitetail Hunting, if I were to choose one outfitter who I feel could provide the possibility of harvesting a trophy deer, I would choose Whitetails Grande, Inc., for the reasons that I mentioned above.

You can book your hunt either directly with Darrell Parker at Area Code 306 248-3653 or by E-mail NORTHRIDGE@SASKTEL.NET or by contacting me, Nick Micalizzi at Area Code 803 747-3009 or by E-mail at PRESIMAGE@AOL.COM.

NORTHWAY OUTFITTERS

I first met Derrick Graham in 1987. I was one of the first hunters to hunt with him in the Boreal Forest in the Glaslyn, Saskatchewan area. Northway Outfitters was a fledgling up and coming outfitter. On the very first hunt Dick Idol, Dennis Highby, President of Cabela's, Greg Severinson, Manager of Cabela's Outdoor Adventures and myself, Nick Micalizzi, were the first four hunters to hunt with this new outfitter.
Quiet and unassuming, from the very first it was apparent by the many questions, Derrick was eager to learn as much from the hunters as the hunters could learn from Derrick. All of the guides, on that very first hunt, pushed bush or as we refer to in the States as driving deer. Now the standard is comfortable, heated huts.
After becoming good friends with Derrick and his wife Brenda, a long and friendly relationship has continued in spite of the fame that Derrick has achieved in the outfitting business, he is still the same great guy who knows the bush, a master of baiting and placing his hunters, where the best opportunities are to harvest their buck.
In 2007 Derrick built a beautiful four-star lodge that could only be compared to the best four-star hotel. Quality meals, good guides and constant large buck kills are the standard that excellence delivers.
Therefore, I continue to recommend Derrick & Brenda Graham of Northway Outfitters as a four star outfitter.

To all my fellow American Hunters. My name is Nick Micalizzi, I am the Founder/President of Image Country Camouflage. In 1991 I negotiated opening the Mosquito Indian Reservation, with his honor, the Minister of Natural Resources, Lorne Kapolachuk. I have hunted the Mosquito Reserve from 1991 until 2005.
In 2004 I made an extensive loan to Charles Stone, the outfitter on the Mosquito Reserve. Regrettably, I was unable to have him repay the $21,372.95, plus interest at 8.25%. I received judgment against him on April 24, 2007, in the COURT OF THE QUEEN'S BENCH OF SASKATCHEWAN, JUDICIAL CENTRE OF SASKATOON, BEFORE THE HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE P. FOLEY ON FRIDAY, THE 30TH DAY OF MARCH 2007.
ON SEPTEMBER 24, 2007, BEFORE THE COURT OF THE QUEEN'S BENCH OF SASKATCHEWAN, I received another judgment in the amount of $9,875.00, plus 8.25% interest. The total amount of $31,247.95. This judgment was for my personal property, stolen by Charles Stone on my last hunt of November 2005. At the present time both judgments are in DEFAULT.
I can also attest to the fact that the Mosquito Indian Reserve has and continued to be over hunted, so as to dramatically effect the quality and quantity of deer. Though Charles Stone will not admit to any of the above, I strongly advise anyone who considers hunting on the Mosquito Reserve that he is a liar, a thief and cannot be trusted to provide you with what he claims. Take if from a person who did everything for him and how I was treated.

Larry Leschyshyn provides two opportunities for top-end trophy whitetails. One of which is in the Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan and the other a wilderness hunt deep in the bush of Manitoba. The Manitoba hunt, which I have had the good fortune to also participate in is the ultimate whitetail experience. This hunt is not for the hunter who prefers a large accommodation. Quonset huts are the accommodations, nine miles from the nearest trail. If I had to choose one hunt in all of North America, with an opportunity to harvest a new world record, this would be my choice. The deer in this area for the most part have never come in contact with the hunter. They roam the bush freely night and day with little fear of man. Do not misunderstand this statement, they like any trophy whitetail deer will know the hunter much quicker than the hunter can pattern his deer. The experience in Hudson Bay is in Larry’s private residence. Quality lodging and meals are a standard at this camp. Though cooks are provided in both camps, there are few amenities in the wilderness camp, as you can well imagine. The food is more than adequate, in the wilderness camp, however, because of the kitchen facility in Hudson Bay and the dining area it is a much more pleasant experience. Larry is the hardest working outfitter that it has been my good fortune to hunt with. He understands the bush as well as any outfitter I have ever hunted with. He has a vast knowledge of the whitetail deer, both in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. I choose Larry as a four star outfitter because of his ability to consistently produce a quality experience in both camps with top end results.

Alvin and Michael Campeau are one of my four star picks for they consistently produce a quality experience in Northern and Southern Saskatchewan. Alvin & Michael run two camps, one of which is in Carragana, Saskatchewan in the Northern Zone and the Musowekwan Indian Reserve in Lestock, Saskatchewan. It has been my good fortune to hunt both areas with incredible results. I have harvested huge whitetails including a typical and non-typical that qualified for the record book. This experience with Alvin & Michael is unsurpassed. As Native Americans they understand whitetails and the bush and consistently put their hunters in the areas with the best possible results, which is apparent.
